St. Marychurch Pre-school has operated in the Parish Hall since the late 1970s and registered with Ofsted in 1992. The Pre-school meets the Welfare Requirements and plans to the Early Years Foundation Stage. The group is run by experienced staff and is managed by a committee of parents. We have a classroom and an enclosed outside play space with grass and wooded den areas for playing and exploring the natural world.

Our Aim

We aim to provide a safe, stimulating, caring, happy pre-school where all children and their families are welcome. We provide a curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage using individual children’s interests and needs.

We achieve our goals by:

  • Providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2 years until they reach statutory school age.

  • Working in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop.

  • Offering children and their parents a service that promotes equality and values diversity.

  • Adding to the life of the local community.​​

Early morning session- 8.30 am to 9.00 am (non-funded)
Morning session-  9.00 am to 12.00 pm
Lunch club session- 12.00 pm to 12.30 pm
Afternoon session- 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm

Baby and Toddler group



Mondays and Fridays 10.30 am to 11.45 am

Last day of summer term for baby and toddler group will be Friday the 12th of July 2024

Toddler group will open on Friday the 13th of September 2024
